We get requests for cigar and pipe tobacco donations every week from
Soldiers and Marines in Iraq & Afghanistan. We try and send
something to everyone who puts in a request. As well, we have had
people call up and offer to anonymously donate on their dime. You can
imagine how nice it is for the troops to sit and smoke a quality cigar,
especially one that was given to them
by someone from "home".
If you have ever been inspired to do something for the Soldiers, you
can contact us via phone or email to set up a donation. WE HAVE
RECENTLY HAD CUSTOMERS
SEND US CIGARS FROM THEIR HUMIDOR THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SMOKE.
A lot of times, the recipients will send us pictures of their company
or their smoking circle. We could pass these along to you, if you like.
We can certainly send along a message from you, as well, to go with
your donation.
We would like to thank those of you that have taken the time to
offer cigars, and money to buy cigars, to send to our military. It is a
beautiful thing to see people step up and do something that makes a
real difference for these courageous men and women.

Thank you to ALL our customers that came from so far for this past weekend's events!
Thank
you to all our customers and friends who came to our Ashton event this
past Friday! It was a great time with great smokes, great libations,
and great people. Some of our customers braved the intense snowstorm
just to make it up here, including some from California, Washington
State, and Kentucky. You guys are the BEST! I'd like to thank Tony
Ferrara, our friend and sales rep from Ashton Cigars for his help in
planning this event. Sorry the snow prevented you from coming up from
Philly, Tony...hope to see you again soon. On Saturday, we had even
more visitors, since there was no power at the location of the Quad
State HERF, put on by our good friend, Charlie Baranyai. Charlie, a 20+
year veteran of the US Army, puts on this event every year, with all
proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Foundation local Transition Unit.
Due to the we ather, most of the attendees came back to Uptown Cigar,
where we continued the celebrations here until midnight. Thanks again
to ALL of you for making this event as special as it was.
Tickets are now on sale for our 13th Annual Stoli and Stogies event
at Wiltwyk Golf Club, on Thursday, April 8th at 5:30pm. Many of you who
have been to this event know what a great time it is. Tickets are $75
per person and includes a full buffet dinner by award winning chefs,
all you can drink Stoli Martinis, and 3 cigars from Drew Estate and
Joya de Nicaragua, including their flagship cigar (and one of my
favorites) Liga Privada T52, a Joya de Nicaragua Antano Dark Corojo,
which hasn't been released, and for dessert, we will smoke the Tabak
Especial Negra coffee infused cigar. Marvin Samel, co-founder of Drew
Estate will be in attendance, as well as David Lafferty, regional sales
manager for Drew Estate. Marvin hasn't missed this event in 12 years,
so neither should you. We will only be able to sell about 150 tickets
and they will go quickly. We will also hold special deals for boxes and
will also have raffles for many great prizes. Please call or email me
with your res ervations. Hope to see many of you here for this event.
On Friday, March 19th, we will be having a Rocky Patel event in
store. For every 3 cigars you purchase, you will receive one FREE Rocky
Patel cigar. For every 5 cigars you purchase, you will receive 2 FREE
Rocky Patel cigars. With every box purchase, you will receive a FREE
Rocky double flame torch lighter. Our Rocky Patel sales rep, Allison
Bertorelli, will also be in attendance. Raffles will be held for a
bunch of fantastic prizes, including a Rocky Patel humidor, and there
